Four and a half months and I’m back to ‘knee one’. The physical situation is similar to when it started in May: a swollen, stiff knee. The latest injection with double dosis steroid worked exactly four weeks.
Saw the rheumatologist again and wanted to hear his next step in the treatment. But my own doctor was stuck in traffic and his colleague took over. He decided for another local injection but first extracted 30ml of excessive fluid. Call us when the knee goes bad again, was the message. Maybe this medication will help stop the inflammation. We will see.
I’m increasingly feeling more pessimistic. Will this ever go away?
